Hey new to the forum and miatas, but not new to cars and car forums. HAHA.
For the past 4 months I've been tossing around the idea of buying a NA miata and it seems it was my destiny.
In April I got laid of from my job, shortly after I scored a new job (2 weeks down not so bad)
I noticed driving home that there is a miata right by new job. Needless to say I decided to stop. Guy says its has no ***** when you mash on the gas then takes off around 4k, he thinks it was the afm. I take for a spin and boy he wasnt lying. Foot to the floor and I could run faster then it. I gave him 800 bucks and drove her away.
After some research and replacing random ignition and fuel parts. I come across a thread talking about SNC problems. BEHOLD my answer. I start the motor and my crank pulley is ALLLLLL over the place. Found a motor 300 bucks and Im swapping it in this weekend.
Figured Id join the forum and become apart of the community.
Currently looking for a handful of parts (ill make a post in the market)
Gently used coil overs
1.8 brake swap
1.8 fly wheel (80 bucks at a local parts place cant hurt to try and get cheaper)
hard top.
turbo manifold (t3 with ewg)
THANKS FOR READING. Ill post some pictures of this bad jackson as soon as I get it moving.
Also anyone have a list of KNOWN good offsets for wheels?

Man, you guys do a great job at greeting someone. Youre representing this forum with curtsey like this?
I should know better to expect more, sooner or later youll hit a point in your life where putting people down for the hell of it will get old.
I asked a simple question. Expected a possible Pinned thread link response and got told to leave.

I want a set a of wider tires, To put some rubber down.
The goal is a built 1.8, but as all projects there is a budget. My budget allows me to possibly junk yard set up a turbo on my 1.6 till winter and build a 1.8 during.
So far I have a
tial 38mm
apexi bov.
Not much but Ive had the car for maybe 3 weeks and have been more worried about getting a motor.

We are a DIY type group here at MT. But that doesn't just extend to working on our cars. We aren't going to tell you which parts you should buy, because why would you trust a bunch of ******* strangers on the internet?
If you stick around and read instead of asking dumb questions, you will find your answers.
Re: junkyard 1.6 turbo. Why? Drive it NA until the winter, save your money. Things that will transfer from your 1.6 setup to the 1.8 setup: oil return line, intercooler and piping, BOV, EWG. That's about it.

Well that's good. We despise stance here. Its right up there with herraflush and street d0r1fto.
As for your question, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. 15x8 and 15x9 wheels ranging anywhere from +20 to +40 offset with 205/50 and 225/45 seem to be the popular options for mixed street/race duty. We have hundreds of threads on this. Search.
As for that last part: expect more. Don't. That's not how it works. You don't expect anything from us or this site, you come here and we expect things from you, like searching, posting legitimate questions, and contributing.

I dont want to sound like a downer...but all I Would have to change from the 1.6 to the 1.8 would be the manifold..correct?
I want to get the car shook down on the 1.6 while I build my 1.8 that way all I have to do is swap manifolds and motors. I thought it was a decent game plan. Maybe I was wrong.
not really doing a JUNK YARD set up. I should use better terms, you guys are right about that.
1.6 plans are
1.8 clutch set up (probably an exedy stage 1 or "racing" clutch
Cheap turbo mani (since it will be going to the curb in 5-6 months)
Fuel pump and Lines for e85
PNPMS
Tial waste gate(can be swapped to new mani. easy)(also probably open dump)
MISC ic pipe
I have a perfect size intercooler
I have a set of RX7 injectors and a set of 800cc injectors for e85
I feel as though the transition from 1.6 to 1.8 will be very smooth and painless.
