Bought a big turbo....now what to do?
Because he bought a pile of parts and a half finished project from someone else, didn't bother reading anything put in front of him, said everyone else sucks, that his stuff is the best, with no sort of evidence of any kind to back anything up.
It's like inheriting your Dad's bowling ball, then proclaiming to the world that you're the best bowler ever.
And you've never thrown a frame.

Torque doesn't matter, power does. If not down shifting at 3500 RPM makes you faster, you are really slow at shifting. The fact that you have more power at higher RPM's (say 6000 vs. 3500, not sure of what the typical shift differential would be from a typical track gear) means you'd have much more torque at the wheels in the more appropriate gear. Unless your power drops off and you actually have more torque at the wheels in a higher gear, lower RPM.
Why are you guys attacking him? In like two pages alone there are 20k in new parts, minimum. Sure, he might be not following our formula for built bp engines using 200whp, but he has access to serious funds.
I'm jelly.
I also agree that vvt doesnt matter on track. if you are below 4k, you are in the wrong gear.
Also haven't read the whole thread lol... carry on

Thanks for being real and not hiding behind a curtain of envy. I really appreciate it and hope I get to show you what this build becomes.......if the hate doesn't consume the moderators.

No envy here. Sounds like a big waste of money
I'm always consumed with hate. Don't take it personally.
Still waiting on pictures. And Dyno plots.

Still waiting on proof that you know what you're doing. Perhaps we will have it, and the lauding will commence.
What do you want pictures of exactly? lol I just posted pictures like 3 days ago of the car and various parts. I will only get to work on the car 1-2 days per week as I'm also in the middle of an addition to my house(addiing on a 2400 sq ft garage) Want pics of that too?!? I should still have it cleaned up and running by the end of the year.
I was just as Zion a couple weeks ago and would have came and given you a hug if I'd known how in need you are of one
OP continue to build out your lair or adding a garage or whatever to your bridge, and let's see what you can make with the combination of someone else's project leavings and your brilliance. There is a opportunity to make the Nay Sayers eat crow, I don't think you can capitalize on it though.
.... on a related subject if you ignore aides does it just go away, or does it consume you like envy?

Torque at the wheels changes, not torque at the motor.
