Thanks for the add - howdy folks my name is Dave. I found this worn out 97 M-edition pretty much stock with 200k in my price range. My plans are to restore/rebuild and budget turbo (at least 300hp range). I got hooked on turbos a few years ago in the form of an SRT4, but had to sell due to family needs. Looking for common minded folks (I'm close to the Baton Rouge, La area). Just installed a new top and have to re-cover the seats next. I like to tinker with cars and the Miata is a fun little car that should be even better with a turbo. New top installed

Welcome. Look and research what building a 300whp miata takes. It is far from "budget." 250whp would be possible with a budget build, but anything more than that starts requiring cracking the engine open. You may be fine with 250whp, as that is a legitimately fast miata. I can't tell you how many SRT-4s I smoked on stock internals.

Do: Lots of reading of build threads, dynos, and stickies.

Don't: Post some shitty turbo off some 70's euro turd you bought and tell us how your budget turbo system will be based around it. We will e-thug you back to Mogadishu .
