Thumbs up Derek King, Indiana, TMF opposition checking in

Hey guys new to the forum, not my first miata but my first boosted miata.

As of now its gonna be the daily romper so i can give the wrx a little break for once.

car is a 96 blue/green. K sports, 1.5 diff, mazdaspeed turbo set up, e manage, street tuned at 9psi on 460cc was at 12psi with 550s. 6 speed recently blew up so its back to a fiver for now.

The car has seen a few drift events here and there as well as the road course.

Haha...welcome.

That's about as good an intro post as a dorifto champ can make around here.

How'd you break a 6speed?

I actually didnt break the 6 speed my best friend who bought the car from did. That trans had about 2 years of drifting on it off and on and track days then to make matters worse 2 weeks before that my buddy blew his trans, next week my subaru trans died, then the next week the miata trans went. Its kinda like if one of us has something go wrong we are all like "OH ****, HERE COMES DISASTER"

I would really like to put a 6 speed back in it more soon then late but who knows

y8s: In for reinstatement of buttsex.

Derek: Welcome! It looks like you are no stranger to turbo toys. Glad to have you on board.

Iiiii'm afraid you're going to have to solicit your own buttsex, my friend.

thanks. Im a true mazda fan. im not a big fan of the 240 as a truck car but im doing good in the new chassis so im keeping it around for next season.I will prolly end up in another fc where i belong.

the rearend is still the super puny r160. I was told they will grenade like crazy but am yet to have a problem. the only thing i have broken so far is transmission output shaft, which is super easy and cheap to change.

I did change the final drive to 4.44. which is soo damn fun BUT my topspeed now is 130 lol so driving on the highway at 70 im hanging out at 4,000 rpm lol.

I was planning on sliding the car next season but really have no reason to change out of my 240 right now. Let alone the money i would have to throw at the subaru to make the trans and drivetrain reliable.
