Scooter Style 01-23-2009 05:45 PM

not sure how to upload pic on here? I am used to putting in the [img] code from photobucket. what are you suppost to use?

patsmx5 01-23-2009 05:50 PM

dr1ft and all variations of that word are sensored. :) We don't like ******** here too much.

ApexOnYou 01-23-2009 05:50 PM

Your URLs are invalid because they have the word dr1fting in them, which is filtered on here, putting "********" in the link.

:edit: Pat snuck up on me.. Ditto

Rafa 01-23-2009 06:34 PM

Welcome Scooter. Nice first post. No questions to ask.

Let see if you can fix the pic linking issue so we can see your cars.

miatamania 01-23-2009 07:25 PM

He can't fix the link because of the ignorant word filter on this fucking forum.

y8s 01-23-2009 08:11 PM

the smart people know how to work around word filters. and i'm not talkin super moderator powers or nothin. well. nothin other than being able to edit the post of a dr i fter.

patsmx5 01-23-2009 08:14 PM

Looks like a JDM tyte driftomachine.

samnavy 01-23-2009 09:50 PM

ApexOnYou 01-24-2009 01:17 AM

HOLY DONKEY DICK SHIFTER.

Seriously though what the hell is that?

18psi 01-24-2009 01:30 AM

a bunch of kids around here are "dr1fters" and have exactly the same looking dicks for shifters as well....it always puzzled me why the fuck you would want to hold a dick while shifting

Scooter Style 01-24-2009 01:33 AM

Thanks for the welcoming. so the anti-grip dri ft stuff words are bad. that sucks. ow well. so I assume you kinda like my bubble shifter from upgarage!

Scooter Style 01-24-2009 01:33 AM

oww and as of right now the car makes 270whp and 250ft. lbs of torque at like 12lbs of boost.

kotomile 01-24-2009 01:48 AM

Nice car, minus the phallic gearchanger.

Toddcod 01-24-2009 04:36 AM

Nice car.

For me it makes it a lot easier to shift, plus when it is higher like that it makes it closer to the steering wheel hand placement so when I need to shift really fast it makes it easier. That and I r a JDM fanboy i guess.

mazda/nissan 01-24-2009 04:24 PM

lulz at the ring pop shift knob

hustler 01-24-2009 06:24 PM

can you please not post in "leet speak"? You'll end up with a ban if you don't cut that shit out.

sixshooter 01-24-2009 08:04 PM

Nice car.

I thought short throw shifters were the high performance mod of choice. That one is nearly Ed Roth style.

And they're right, it does look like a penis, only smaller.

A word of advice: have fun with hustler. He's really a nice guy. If you're looking for a fight with him, you won't last long here. Don't take it personal. ;)

I for one love to read what he comes up with :giggle:

Vashthestampede 01-25-2009 07:06 PM

Car looks good dude. Don't be talkin like a dr1fter over here or you'll be bombarded with cat pictures. :vash:

And here's the link to the photobucket directly for others - dr1ft lol, still doesn't work....

Welcome :bigtu:

They just don't like abbreviations like telephone text typing and trendy purposeful misspellings like turboz and the like. They are also big fans of capitalizing the first word in a sentence and the personal pronoun "I". That's all. We get quite a few of the semi-illiterate kids in here for brief periods of time and they have soured the long-timers and old-timers regarding that.

They are trying to keep high standards with regard to the topics and the info shared. There is a tremendous knowledge base here that spans back through years of R&D and mostly DIY. Most of the time somebody has tried it already and has a war story, both good and bad.

There is a great deal of impatience with the dozens of noobs who ask the same three or four questions as their very first post each month. They skip the search function to find the answer, and they skip the "Meet and Greet" and basically throw decorum and protocol out the window. A great example to check out is the "Ultimate Noob First Post" sticky in the "Meet and Greet" section.

And to make it worse for you, so many of them are asking about d ri ft ing because they saw the F&F movie, yet don't know that you can't turbo your car for $125 and be Mr. Awesome all of a sudden without actually being forced to learn anything. That's the "why."

But you are going to be fine. You have some knowledge and a couple of nice rides and will obviously contribute as well as question. Contributing back to the forum is what helps to separate the "takers" from the members. Good luck and welcome.

Honestly....I actually have come to find the humor in the cat pictures lately.

well good to see that there are some cool people on this thread. oww and I am a cat person, but cat pictured posters were like 2006 right?

I disagree about the capitalization and some other things. I think there are pretty clear ways to be understood without even using proper spelling 100% of the time. And it's usually clear when someone is dumb, regardless of their spelling and grammar.

Of course there is always the proper use of irony that is the exception to the rule; look at lolcats. And look at Braineack.

Wait. How'd you get that word posted in here?
I'm going to try it. Buttsex. Buttsexing. Buttsexed. Slowest way around a corner.
Let's see if that posts or get censored.

Damn it, Joe stop changing my words! I said drift.

sixshooter 01-26-2009 01:47 PM

Does drift get through because it's the proper name of the tool I should be using when striking my screwdriver with a hammer?

Vashthestampede 01-26-2009 10:39 PM

Nope, gets through under "snow drift".
