Default First Miata! 95M Edition

Hi everyone!

My wife and I are first time Miata owners! We recently purchased a 95 M Edition and went through the arduous process of removing the previous owner's questionable mods (e.g., slammed blown coils, horrible alarm install that burnt out the ignition harness, mouse trap bar, epoxied spoiler, etc.).

The adventure all started when the wife got to ride in a Rotrex NB at a HPDE event with an instructor (Summit Point Jefferson). She came back all smiles and quickly said, "Why didn't anyone tell me Miatas were so fun! We need to get one!"

So here we are! The Miata has been a blast to drive and the community has been truly awesome.

Our plans are to have a fun weekend (occasional weekday) car that we can occasionally take to a few HPDEs a year. We have a VVT swap planned which should add to the fun.

Excited to learn as much as we can and be part of this awesome community! Also very excited (and nervous) to learn some MegaSquirt tuning.

Current Mods
Eibach F/R Sway Bars (came with the car)
FM Frame Rails
FM Brake Brace
Xida GS
Hard Dog M2 Hard Core Hard Top Double Diagonal
Racing Beat Header
Racing Beat Exhaust

You've come to the right place. Current mods are already looking fantastic. Don't be afraid to start a build thread and ask questions along the way.

Thanks! I've already been watching all the videos on MegaSquirt tuning for newbies and reading all the posts from everyone.

I appreciate the encouragement. Good idea about the build thread. Might be fun to put one together.

Welcome to the forum. There's a lot of people who do track days here on the forum. Where are you located?

Thanks! Excited to be here.

I'm located in Maryland. Not far out from DC.

Not sure if we'll get to some track days this year. But we will see. Picking up the VVT and MS3 this weekend! The adventure begins!
