came to forum for some help with my first car that a just purchased, a 1990 jdm eunos roadster, from the research i've done
theres not many differences between it and a regular miata besides it being right side drive,
if anyone has any differences you think i should know, please inform me.

 

Eunos was Mazdas attempt at a luxury brand right around the time Japans economic bubble burst.

There should be very few difference between your car and other RHD MX-5s. Maybe some cosmetic and emissions stuff.

im from the 'souther' part of the us, dont have any good picture quite yet,but i do have a list of part im planing on slowly buyin, im goin for a street build with around 300hp,
im doing a full enging buit from the bottom end up, my father a mechanic he is gona teach me the stuff i dont already know as i go.

 

Well, since you bought a 1.6 car you will need to replace the rear differential, axles, and driveshaft with 1.8 first. You will also need to buy and build a 1.8 engine for your power goals and for the VTPS.

 

Here in Aust our import laws allowed Eunos' to be imported, so we have a lot of them around, in addition to the officially sold "MX5"

Mechanically they are pretty much identical to the local market models.

Off the top of my head, the main differences were interior trim, the Eunos had a temp sensor in the cat that always fails and leaves you with an annoying "cold cat" warning lamp.

A lot of the Eunos' came with the VLSD fitted (compared to the open diff on most non-japan models), but other than that it's all the same.
The Eunos was also fitted with power steer by default from memory, compared to the standard Manual rack of the Aust models.


Basically if you need info, look at the Aussie sites.
you get all the RHD info, but without the Japanese language barrier.
