FNG! $500 1995 Miata
Hey guys new here, but not new to the scene in general. Picked myself up a 1995 Miata 5spd for $500 it "has" 220k runs like a champ is 5spd has great, heat, pwr windows, cruise control. The bad(s) are that the roof is pretty shot, and has some rust in front of the wheels on the rear quarters, and the rear calipers are trash and the paints clearcoat has seen better day but would prob clean up.. I just ordered an ebay top for like 175 shipped. I have a pair of sportmax 002's 0 offset i was running on my one vw and i will prob put them on this. I am about to order reman'd rear calipers and cross drilled slotted rotors and ebc pads here in about a week. My plans throughout the winter is to put it on about 10-12lbs with a good tune, replace some gaskets, fluids, a radiator and a clutch. Some raceland coilovers, sway bars and end links as well as fender flairs, mild side skirts (cover the rust) and front and rear lip. Let me know what you guys think.

hmm...dont really know what to say, definitely not here to BS or sell the car. I just kinda thought i would get a better welcoming? And btw, they are 16x9 and fit quite nicely last night. And yes im NOT fixing rust. Why because the car is a beater something to have fun with rust or not its going to serve a purpose. and its purpose for me is to be quick and handle well. Im trying to put less than 3k into this thing so I can have a little fun. I found you have alot of useful threads and I plan on following most of it pretty thoroughly. Sorry if my ideas and opinions aren't "ideal" to you or what you think is cool or respectable when putting a car together but i take pride in doing things "my" way but at least im not jumping on a bandwagon here. Ive owned many cool n/a and f/i'd cars and it wasnt all one make. Nissans, Toyota's, Chevy's, Ford's, VW's, and even a honda once. Just stay tuned, I might do something that will gain your acceptance as if i need it.

We're just giving you a hard time for a couple different reasons. If you're serious about learning something just hang around, join in on some threads, contribute what you can, learn what you can, and in due time you'll either be accepted or eventually deleted.
Most intro threads that are of your nature get ragged on (one big run on paragraph, no pictures, mentioning racelands, sportmaxxes, etc). Post up some pictures and even some of your past cars, and you'll get more of a welcome from the gang.

I agree with the above. Don't think you are special because your intro thread was you being ragged on. It happened to about 98% of us on here. It's how we weed out the idiots and trolls.

BTW there is no bandwagon here. That is for crnet faggGets who follow fads and ****. Most of the stuff going on here is unique. A lot of the well known people on here have helped the miata progress quite a bit by trying out new stuff so us little people don't have to.

The raceland comment warranted the lack of astroglide... you got it dry man.
If you want to "pimp-out" your $500 miata, may I suggest clubroadster (CR for future reference) for some 'awesome' input - and they always use KY. And I won't post a link either.
