Thor, this isn’t going to work. The purpose of the post count minimums for sending messages, etc, is to limit such features to people who actually participate and contribute. Otherwise things like classifieds become a ****-heap like Craigslist or Marketplace.

If you actually engage and contribute, it’s more likely that you’re cool and can be trusted to not harass or scam people. If this was a free-for-all, you could be some Nigerian prince screwing people out of money.

So find a thread where you have some knowledge to share, do a build thread, or otherwise show some value. This kind of spam is not that.

 

I understand the point of gatekeeping features, but as the line between a determined scammy Nigerian prince and a user who doesn't have much to say is quite thin it seems more like a speed bump than a legitimate guard against such behavior. Especially in the modern age with AI and whatnot

 

This is not a social media site nor a marketplace. It is about our Miatas/MX5s, what we have done to them, what we want to do to them, and questions around those. Starting a build thread is a good way to commence that process, or post a comprehensive intro thread.
