Default Hello

I have an extensive Honda background including putting together a 516hp B18 and a 382hp D16. However, I know nothing about my new hobby car (a 92 Miata). I am done with the honda scene and eager to learn all that I can about these incredible little cars. Thanks

Hey Welcome

These guys can be a bunch of hardasses at the start but they warm up

Give yourself a signature, saying what you are rolling with and 'bobs your uncle'!.

A truely amazing site as far as information goes - can't get much better

Read every sticky in every forum.
Look through the USEFUL SAVED THREADS FORUM and read through most of them... at least the first few posts of each one.
Visit the websites of all the SUPPORTING VENDORS.

Don't ask any questions for a week or two. Just hang out and read every post in every forum... shouldn't take you more than half-hour a day. In that amount of time, you'll get a feel for the Miata performance aftermarket, learn the lingo, and be able to ask good questions. Virtually nothing you know about tuning Hondas will translate to the Mazda BP powerplant. It's a different animal.

Your other thread asks about 300whp... but that's what everybody coming from other communities thinks is the magic number for a really "fast" car. 300whp in a 2200lb rwd car is in a different leauge than a 2800lb fwd car.

You need to post your location so anybody local to you can offer to give you a ride. I'll be hitting the drag strip next Friday with a buddy of mine both of us running 220whp or so. Be sure to follow the thread we'll start in the BS forum when it comes up.
