Default Hello Boosted Miatas!

Hello there.

Obviously, Newb to this site, but not much to Miatas.

I drive a 91 soft top, dumped on wheels, nothing too crazy, yet. 1.6 motor, running strong at over 200k. (local driver)

In definite need of a rebuild, of course...BUT, why not just build and boost a 1.8, with turbo internals, and replace the 1.6 motor? Sounds good to me.

So, that's exactly what I'll be working on as a project. I'm sure this site will provide all helpful advice in regards to turbo

Hmm, and after boosting I plan on making my NA useful by taking it to the tracks for some gripping

welcome

Just skip the 1.8 entirely and go 5.7 v8 and then boost that

Lol, I also thought about a complete ls1 swap (who hasn't) but after the calculations, it was way beyond my budget, considering I'm a full time student..So I figured a simple build and boost would be an easy and cheaper route for me.
