Default Hello from Columbus OH

Hey all. I am a 35 year old Libra with one kid from just outside Central Ohio (North of Columbus). Bought my Miata last year after my FRS died in a recall. Its an 02 in Sunlight Silver that had 58K miles on when I bought it and I probably overpaid for it but that's life. It had a hard top and some paint damage and a car accident that wasn't on the carfax. Came with a hard top, sport brakes and a torsen so I got every thing I wanted in a one stop shop. I bought it to be a track car only and currently on my way to wasting lots of money and upsetting my wife in the process. I've been reading lots of threads here and have the aim of making it a TT5 or TT6 car eventually. Currently I'm only doing HPDE events and looking forward to that when the tracks finally open again. Until then I'm learning to work on it and messing it up in the process.

Currently on my car I went with the Supermiata Big Grip kit and just got and alignment done to Supermiata racing specs. Wasn't planning on doing that so soon but after letting an instructor drive my car and having him say "This is the worst Miata suspension I have ever driven" I thought I would change up the suspension and do it right with the proven Xida's. Also added a Flyin Miata coolant reroute and Supermiata radiator, Super Mata clutch and lightweight flywheel as my clutch was also slipping. Also added G-Lock R8's up front and rears with 205 VR-1's on Konig Dekagram. Also just did my 60k maintenance with timing belt and water pump. Lucky me I screwed something up and on my way home from getting my alignment done I got a CEL light. So off to figure that out now and hopefully drive my car on the street a bit before May 30th when I will hopefully get the car back on track at Nelson ledges.

Hopefully will get some bucket seats and a 6 point harness in the car this year. And then get it on track as much as possible. I have 10 days planned with 4 days already canceled. So hopefully stuff actually opens.

So thats about it for intro's for me. I will probably post a bit here and there but more of a reader as I learn.

Welcome! That's a super low mile car to beat on at the track. Good find!
