Hello from Gainesville, FL
I recently purchased a '91 Miata with a homebrew, ghetto turbo setup to use as a track car. The previous owner already started the gut job and I'm just really getting into it.
What I know about the setup: 16g turbo, eBay FMIC, hacked MAF, stock DSM recirc valve, eBay manifold.
The clutch is slipping (I plan on ordering another), but it ran a 14.1 @ 101 (verified by PBox) on bad tires. I've seen close to 8 psi in second gear, due to the fact that it's only running off the wastegate at the moment (it doesn't even have a mbc).
I apologize for the poor-quality Blackberry photos, I lost my digicam charger when I came back to school this year. I'll post better pics tomorrow.
The car isn't pretty, needs work, etc. but I don't care, it's a work in progress.
Coming from a B5 S4, I'm glad to see another active community and I look forward to getting this car dialed in.
Thanks.

I plan on dropping it off sometime this week to get a full road-race cage fab'd and welded in as well as an Al dash made for it. I'm not sure if I'm doing things in the right order, shelling out just over $2k for a full race cage and dash installed sound like too much to you guys? It's almost what I paid for the car, Miatacage.com cages are about $1k but I still have to factor in the install and what I have planned with the fabricator is really beefy. I also have to decide what I'll do about gauges.

I wouldnt bother, you can get a good roll bar for much cheaper and itll hold up to a serious wreck.
Basically you need to work on Megasquirting it, and then switching over to a manifold that wont crack (that ebay one will for sure)
