Default Hello, Lurker from NZ.

Hello, My names Jake.

I've been lurking regularly since about late 2018, A little before I purchased my 1990 brg mx5 from my dad.
This forum sucessfuly guided me to a boosted stockblock 1.6 in early 2020 where I proceeded to run allofit on an s15 t25,
she ran pretty sweet for about 8 months on 18psi before a particularly hot day spelled disaster for the ringlands in #3.
I pulled that motor and ran a replacement 1.6 for a while before selling the setup and purchasing a 1.8 and engine components to forge.
Life got in the way and the car and motor have just sat for the last 2 years or so with some minor progress (machine work) until this month.
I've moved to a much nicer and roomier shed with a much better paying job (recently finished my electrical apprenticeship) and have now found myself ramping back up with the build.
I figured since I've been spending untold amounts of time researching on here lately it was finally time to make an account.

I don't have many pictures of the car although I'm hoping to change that soon and compile some sort of build thread.

The new 1.8 specs are mostly run of the mill with a few unusual parts.

9:1 CP 83.5mm Pistons
Manley Rods
ACL Race bearings all around
ARP Main/head studs
Boundary Oil Pump
Fluidampr
Manley stainless intake valves +1mm
Supertech Inconel Exhaust +1
Some mild diy "porting" on the head (bowl blend/smoothing)
Kelford Pacalloy valve springs
Pulsar GTX2867rII run on a kraken lowmount that I am yet to order.

Will all be running on an MS3x. Theres obviously more to add but they can wait for a build thread.
