I do plan on doing a little drifting but really want to push towards scca/autocross or some other form of racing along those lines...

Drove the car around today, let her warm up and she runs great! burns a little oil upon start up and runs really rich for some reason, needs a tune up among many other things.

I like the top-down-with-snow-on-the-trunk pic. lol
That cage is Pretty awesome. Does a soft top fit over it by any chance?

From what I see, I would say no. Cages typically have a wider angle between the rear down bars and the main hoop as compared to your average soft top friendly roll bar.

The wider angle prevents the soft top from resting properly in the down position because the rear bars are in the way.

ok, thats what i was thinking. it certainly didnt look like ANY top would fit over it actually. haha
What would be the Go-to option for a top on something like this?

Its a Miatacage.com cage and Ive heard that a fiberglass hard top will work with it.
