Thumbs up Hello from NC

Hello.
My name is Chris Amell and I am new to the Turbo Miata scene. I am not new by any means to fabrication or wrenching, but do not have much experience with Forced Inductioin. For my current build I am working on a 10AE and I have read Soviets build thread and plan to do a very similar build. My current parts list include Supertech 8.6:1 83.5mm pistons on Manley rods on a balanced crank with a BE Race pump. ARP main and head studs, ACL race bearings, BW EFR6258, with B18 intake mani. I am using a ported and ploished VVT head with +1 deshrouded valves. All this will be controlled by a REverant built MS3PNP. I am going to use 3" exhaust. Forgive me, I am sure I am forgetting some.....Please share your thoughts and advice.

What is your injector choice? Where are you sourcing your manifold needs from or can you make your own?

What is the purpose application of the car?

What part of NC are you in? I'll be in the Raleigh area of NC next year.

I am near Hickory.
Injectors haven't been decided yet, prolly something in the 750 size range
Purpose of the car is my wifes daily driver. She said she wanted a little more power....lmao!!! I will take the car to the mountains on weekends, when I am not driving my 94 VVT car.

I guess I need to get the pics from my desktop and upload them sometime?
Thanks Matt. Did you see my build specs? I am so excited about getting this EFR turbo!!! I need to figure out what I am going to do about a mani though. If anyone is near me, I have lots of spare parts and think you will find I go out of my way to help my friends. Matt, I hope you let me know the next time you head south?

Hey man, I live in Davidson, right off I-77, and am always in need of parts. Just finished my suspension, getting wheels/tires next but hope to build a turbo kit this summer. Let me know what you have! And if there are any meetups happening!

Welcome aboard!

Thanks Dustin.
I have a nice turbo Mani I will make you a deal on....it won't work with my EFR and I think I won't be happy with any other turbo so my next build will be 185whp NA....
I have a great deal on good wheels/tires. Give me a call/txt sometime, I am always up for a ride to the mountains!

No I haven't seen them yet, on Facebook? We already made reservations for The Gap in July and also for Boone in September. We're also going to the Outer Banks in September but that's not very close to your neck of the woods.

Oh ok I just jumbled up the pics/specs lines and misunderstood. Yeah I saw the specs and it looks great. Pretty similar to my build last year except I went cheaper with ebay rods, a 2871R, and my stock '99 head. We're going to have lots of fun dueling it out in the mountains this year!
