Looked at this thread many times and have 2 mx5's a mk1 and mk2.5.
Doing a full engine rebuild and lots of mods for a 300whp or up 1.8 build at the moment. Have access to ramps which makes it slightly easier but only on weekends at the moment.
Stock engine at the moment but will be stripped sat/sun ready to clean up and then end of month start the rebuild hopefully if not then first weekend of October! Need to do move house next couple of weekends and furniture shopping is taking a while!

Ha that's not quite the reason for the name but I did think about it after typing it.
Yes it's all I think about at work until I get home and then more at home at the moment! Loved fast cars for years. Bought both my mx5 in last couple of months.
Be stripping it down in the garage this sat or sun whichever is more convenient with furniture shopping and then start rebuilding October with forged internals also.
