Default here to de-noob i guess

just bought my 91 with 100k. ran a pressure check and it came back good. looking to turbo it. thinking about a garret t3, aem 255 pump and 750 injectors? Any major issues that i need to know about or look out for?

From experience <- Skip the t3. Go with a t2 flanged turbo unless you plan on making 250+rwhp. Skip the fuel pump, go with a megasquirt. You wont need 750cc injectors unless you want LOTS of headroom. Look into some nice 450-550s. Oh, and welcome

Edit: Issues to watch out for: You probably have a short nose crank. Read up on it. Its not inherently bad, but you should be aware. Secondly, don't be cheap. If you can fabricate your own parts to save some cash, more power to ya. If you want to run an ebay manifold with a Chinese turbo and no-name downpipe, fiber oil lines, no heat wrap, a stock clutch and ****-poor engine management, I hope you have enough money to turbo your car twice.

yeah the 750's are way overkill but i got them uber cheap. a buddy suggested putting a 16g mitsubishi turbo on it(same buddy has blown up two cars lol). as far as fab work goes im in the dark completely. my car experience doesnt go far beyond bolt-ons and oil changes lol.

i basically want a 250-300rwhp daily driver/track car.

The 16g is a great turbo, but for a miata, I'd say just stick to the basics. Mitsu flanged manifolds can be had, but you are looking at a POS ebay tubular that is extremely likely to crack. Also, you will need to come up with a flange/pipe for the compressor outlet and a custom downpipe.

yeah he is all about the dsm lol. money is a slight issue but i have a daily driver so it shouldn't be to hard to buy a setup a piece at a time. found a rebuilt t25 on ebay for 300. should i go ahead and upgrade the internals now?
