Default Hey From Edmonds

Hey guys, I recently bought my beater Miata, it's a 96 base model stock as far as I can tell. Odometer tells me 181,000 miles but it really is unknown as it was a towed vehicle for someone's RV. This is the great thing about it, is it was an AZ car and has NO rust. I am not especially mechanically inclined but have some friends that are. Right now I've taken it to my first autox and fell in love, looking to build a bit of a suspension for it and then maybe a DIY turbo.

Thanks for all the great reading, I've already learned quite a bit in a short time.

John

yes sir Edmonds, WA just north of beautiful Seattle. I actually was born and raised a Ballard boy, still work there. And yes, the PNW is taking over, the others just can't compete.

ORLY? I live just southeast of you in shoreline/lake shitty. Oh, and I work in Fremont, we should get together some time (no homo). There are a LOT of turbo guys in the area, and it seems like we're growing pretty damn quickly. I dont think it will be too long until we rival the east coast/texas crews.

Yeah, I know Fremont pretty well, I work just off Leary Way in industrial Ballard.

Are there ever any group meets in the area? I'm new to the Miata and wouldn't mind seeing what people have done to theirs.

Oh nice . I'm down that way all the time at ballard hardware/ballard oil/etc for work.

We turbo miata guys have been getting together quite a bit lately, usually 1-2 times a month. Its sounding like there might be quite a few of us getting together tomorrow at the Pina Motorsports dyno day. You are welcome to come along if you want

*Warning* I will not be held responsible if you see what some of the other locals have got under their hoods and decide that you need to immediately buy the biggest turbo you can fit between the block and the frame and build yourself a monster
