Default Hey guys. New Turbo Miata owner here ready to learn and mess up a lot.

My name isn’t actually Kelsey, that’s the Miata’s name. Here’s the car!

it’s a 1991 1.6L turbo.

I’m currently in North Carolina but I’ll be moving to Cincinnati Ohio soon. This is my third Miata, and first boosted car. Learning a lot, but also already have a dozen questions, but I won’t post those in this thread.. this is also the first forum I’ve ever joined.

Hope to make friends here, and I’ll try to help out if I can. But really looking for advice on the car currently.. let me know if you have questions or whatnot.

Thanks all

Sean

I guess I should have added the car’s current build:

T3 Godspeed turbo 50 trim internal wastegate
V band downpipe
ISR catback exhaust
1.8L injectors
Walbro fuel pump
OBX FMU
Turbosmart manual boost controller
AEM AFR
Torsen diff
ACT stage 2 clutch

currently trying to set the boost but I’m having issues. It was last set at 10 psi.

Default Vband DP to ISR

I’m actually picking up an mkturbo with a 2.5 to 3” downpipe. I also have an ISR with 2.5” midpipe. You think i could have a shop weld vband flanges to my ISR and extend it to a cut on the DP where it is 2.5”? Let me know what you think.

ISR?

I presume the MK kit will include the MSPro?

EDIT: Most muffler shops have mad abilities. Ask them.

Just the ISR Circuit spec exhaust. I may be buying an MS3pro as well. I’ll see what’s in my area for exhaust though. I know what I’m trying to accomplish Isn’t impossible.

I had a local shop say they could go from 2.5 to my stock 1.75 and that was no where's ville Kentucky.

Sorry to derail OP. Car does look good. Can we get a pic under the hood?

Looks clean for its age! You can almost get antique car plates for a Miata from that early in the NA production run.
