because you complained about AIT and now talking of puller fans when there's a brilliantly simple solution to make the IC close to 90% efficient all while staying a sleeper. That and there's nothing better to do than be a hater.

Believe it or not, we want you to succeed. Just like (most of us) wanted Faeflora to succeed. But like him, you seem to be doing dumb things for dumb reasons which will keep you from succeeding.

I don't know much about turbo cars, but if you are having problems with high intake temps, moving the IC even further out of the airflow will not help.

You can't see under the hood when it's shut.

Foam wrapped around the air filter makes the intake noise almost silent. BOV now recirculates to the comp housing so that's even quiter too.

SC will have a lot of SC whine coming from the inlet of the blower. I'm piping in the IC pipe to it. I don't yet know how that will affect SC whine. I think it will reduce it but how much? No idea. I hope I can reduce this noise to almost nothing, there are factory SC cars that are quiet so it's been done before.

thenudge- My goal is to have a fun, fast car. It's already fun and fast, I'm just going to make it more fun and more fast. :) If I don't succeed (blow up engine, for example), I'll build another one and try something different.

I was having high AIT's for several reasons as I've posted here or in the other thread here. The IC was very close to the radiator (causing it to heatsoak) and it wasn't getting enough airflow. I'm going to move it to get it away from radiator (will solve heatsoak problem) and going to put fans on it for airflow. Will it work? Dunno. I will test and see. I though my last IC install would be great, it isn't, I'm changing it. You can't win them all. If the new idea doesn't work, I'll try improving it or changing something else.

I can say I ordered a few extra AIT sensors to monitor temp in multiple places. So I'll have more data this time as to how the system is operating.

stuffing a sock in the intake pipe will make it quieter too.

what you want to do is eliminate turbulence. turbulence is your noise. put a 6 inch trumpet intake on that thing and use an air box after it for your filter.

Man that looks good! I might have to take this route with my MP62 hotside kit. Still trying to source an intercooler do it. Looks like I'm off to find a black top-feed intercooler *runs to the other room with arms outstretched, making whoosh noises*

it's a marvelous thing...

Print out engine bay sized photo of stock 1.6l, put some heat resistant backing on it, bolt it over the engine for the ultimate sleeper. Do the same in front of the intercooler (doesn't matter that it blocks the air).

Then relabel your gauges to look like they show: Time, Voltage, Cabin Temp.

Finally you need to sort out the engine noise. Best idea is to get your exhaust note as loud as possible over all rpm range. Then just tell people you have an exhaust leak. You won't even be able to hear the engine.
