Bought a 97 a few weeks ago, it痴 pretty clean, mosty garage kept but has a dent in the frame close to the front drivers side door earning it a rebuild title. It痴 still really fun to drive and so far have only gotten around to preforming routine maintenance. I do plan on adding a turbo eventually as well as plenty other modtastic goodness. End goal of this car is to push this car until the frame breaks and then save what I can, put it on a good frame, and then build a decent track car. Until then I知 just going to tinker and learn everything I can.
I am honestly a bit puzzled. Was that the *only* damage to the car? Are the gaps fore and aft of the door (between the door and the rest of the body) still even along their length?
I'm having a hard time accepting that that crease alone was enough to justify totaling the vehicle.
No gaps, front bumper, and left fender were replaced, the right door was repainted but I don't know if it was a replacement or not. Anything else I would half to remove the fender. In the current condition, its hard to find a reason for it being left for dead by an insurance company and I assume there is more damage I'm unaware of but ill find later. Heres a side shot.
