Hi folks, I'm new to these parts and to MX5s (as we call them over here).
I drive a 1997 red Mk1 NA MX5 at the moment, as well as a turbodiesel Focus, so I'm no stranger to FI tuning, however I've never fitted an FI setup myself before.
My car has the detuned 1.6 engine with 90bhp, which whilst good does not give nearly enough welly to have proper fun with. Hence I'm seriously looking into fitting a supercharger, I'm aiming for around 170bhp as that's about right for road use IMO
I'm going to go for an Eaton M45 supercharger from a Mini, as the conversion seems to be pretty well documented, and I would like to go down the stand-alone Megasquirt route too.
Hopefully before long these ideas will start to fly, then shortly after the car will start to fly too! It'll be a blast...
