They drilled the front plate into the bumper? There's a bolt-on bracket for that... I'd shoot somebody! The FM kit is nice for turn key but if you are resourceful and even slightly skilled, you can do fine with use/ebay bits and get the same result. Any NA/NB bar will fit but make sure it is compatible with the glass window and with a hard top if you think you'll get one eventually.

I saw you registered at mazda-speed.com. We're a lot less performance oriented over there but we can answer any strange MSM specific questions that might pop up and we're very gentle on noobs. The hazing here can be interesting !

To cover up the holes i'd say do some plastic puddy and simple cover up with those cover up paint markers from autozone. Dont try to make it fancy and sand it down or whatever unless you have the right tools and skill, simple touch and go with a slight crack around it.

I like my side plate. You chose your poison.

The FM kit will go on in a day with no problems.

If you DIY you will probably need the car off the road for two weeks minimum while you get little parts that you forgot to buy.
