Post Intro to me and my garage queen

Hello everyone, My names Isaiah, aka Miyawta to you all (and instagram @miyawta). I live in the eastern Wisconsin area and own a 1992 Miata 1.6L with a relatively "fresh" Honda Champion White paint job. I've been snooping the forums here for a while and took 0 advice as to how my build should go and royally effed myself in the process.
I decided to go with a CX racing kit (fitment wasn't horrible, build quality is questionable), MSPNP2, AEM Wideband, Colorshift boost gauge, FM Clutch Happy Meal with the 10lb flywheel and stage 1 clutch, and just little things here an there to support it and I pretty much did a basic refresh of gaskets (ITM Gasket kit, terrible).
The biggest mistake I made in this process is just throwing the parts together and not properly inspecting the condition of the motor. Everything was looking good, no excess carbon on pistons, valves or anything, cross hashing looked great on the cylinder walls. I did the entire process of pulling, cleaning (didn't take block to the machine shop because I'm a broke boy and didn't think it needed it), and reassembling everything plus running the turbo lines and everything else involved before dropping the motor back in in about 2 weeks time, working almost exclusively in 1 weekend to meet an event deadline. anyone familiar with Automotion in the Wisconsin Dells area during the last week of may will know this deadline.
Fast forward to the week before the event and i was all ready to get it tuned, motor started up great and sounded healthy. it hit boost on the jack stands. I was configuring the IAT sensor and something went wrong as soon as I started doing so, car went insanely rich for a few seconds and died, never to be started again. I set it back to the base map, set it back up to the MAF and there was still nothing. I then found I had around 40-60 lbs of compression on all 4 cylinders, numbers would jump about 10-15 with ATF in them. I still don't know exactly what happened but I'm leaning more towards the possibility of fuel washed cylinders and repeated attempts to start with the condition.

With that being said, Hopefully I can get some constructive criticisms and not get completely cooked here on the forums and get a little help with my issue.

If anyone's got a 1.6 motor in the norther Illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin area for a lower price, I'll take one

I'm from down in Milwaukee and will have a BP4W up for grabs in a couple months if you want to dive down the MT approved 1.8L path.

That's the path I was hoping to take here shortly if I didn't buy my buddy's NB2. Mainly looking to keep this NA mild to give to my girlfriend as a fun car to drive along side the next build.
