Default Introduction and Question

I'm buying a 1990 miata tomorrow. The clutch on it engages when the pedal is almost all the way off the floor. I read somewhere that you can adjust a pushrod on the clutch pedal to make it so it engages lower.
Can someone explain to me how to do this? I tried to find a video or more information on it and I couldn't. Side note, explain things to me like I'm 5, I have no car knowledge whatsoever.
