Hello from Denver
Just joined the forum as I am near the end of working on 92 turbo rebuild. Previously, we have had about 10 Miata's ranging from 90-99. My wife still drives her 99 as a fun weekend car. Also had a 323 GTX a year ago, and will be working on a Festiva with a B6T motor swap soon. All parts for the Festiva are ready, just need the time.
Current project that I am wrapping up is a 92 5-speed that has a turbo kit already installed. It was fully loaded from factory with power windows, cruise, and even matching hardtop. Put a rod through the block and pan with previous owner. I already had a 92 motor waiting in my garage for a project, so I swapped them out. Put about 15 hours into the project so far, but it is 100% driveable, just tuning at this point!

Howdy from down the road. What's the setup on the '92? I've got a '92 with a 16g I just got running on a DSM ecu.
That Festiva ought to be a hoot...what does it weigh, 1800lbs? I've had my eye on a B6T on Denver cl for months now, and I just picked up a '93 Protege yesterday. Once I get some cosmetics sorted on it I'm going to think about adding a little oomph, but idk if the b6t will drop in or need more than I feel like dealing with.

The Miata has an Aerodyne setup that was installed in the mid-90s. Decent setup and creates more power than I was thinking. Enough to blow off an intake connector last night going from 35-55 in 3rd at about 3/4 throttle. I heard it and it lost all power, so I knew exactly what happened. Easy fix.
The Festy weighs in around 1,600lbs. Should be a 13 second car when it is done. That is the sole purpose.

Howdy from.. across the street? Haha, we should all meet up at pikes peak for a meet. Id rather go up there than down to ABQ, at least most of the time..
Pictures please! The car sounds a lot like mine the way it came from the factory. Did you keep A/C? I'm thinking about deleting mine because I NEVER use it.

And some pics of the 323 GTX AWD turbo that I sold last Fall. My first experience with a B6T. Put in a used motor that I picked up previously. Intended to put it in the Festiva, but found this car, and couldn't resist. Drove it for a while but determined it wasn't a practical car to drive daily due to parts availability.

Only bad thing about being here is that depending on the year, Miata season might only be 6 months due to snow. This last year it could have been 363 days as we got very minimal snow.

Welcome. My first car was a festiva. Everyone used to call it a fiesta- used to annoy me so much. I was trying to do the B6T swap also but eventually wanted a car that was actually a sports car. My uncle is WAAAAY into festivas. I think he's on his 17th or 18th. He's got one with a halfway done B6T swap. I don't know if you've been on fordfestiva.com but he's on there all the time. I think his username is neaderpaul or thepleased.

Here's a vid of a guy with a BP in a festiva using a T3 and a miata log mani to make 304whp.

I'm down for sure. There are some GREAT roads around here, and by late spring the anti-snow gravel is usually off the surface. Makes things a little sketchy this time of year! There's a NM Miata club called Roadrunner that's headed this way later this month. I know nothing about the club, though.
Small world. I'm surprised it's still available...I remember seeing it on CL late last summer when I was looking for my Miata.

Yeah, someone will pick it up. The stronger rods and lower PSI pistons are worth the price alone if you ask me. Some guys have looked at it, but the manifolds need modded or replaced to fit into a Miata. The intake comes over the valve cover, which won't work on a Miata due to the low hood.
