Default Noob in Northern California

Hello,

I'm Stan. I've had a '90 white base model for almost 6 months/4,000 miles now. It's all stock accept for AGXs and FM springs I bought used on CL, and FCM bumpstops. It's a low-budget play car that turned into a daily driver. It has 164K on it and runs strong as hell, does not burn or leak any oil -- pretty amazing.

Since I bought the Miata I did the suspension swap and full exhaust/transmission/clutch/shaved stock flywheel swap (I was trying to get rid of the deceleration rattle, but failed -- it still buzzes). My other car is an '07 Subaru Forester XT (lesbo-wagon) with an STi turbo and other supporting mods, so I'm somewhat familiar with FI.

Your guys' stickies here are very good. DIY FaQ is awesome, I'll be recommending it to anyone who wants to learn about turbos. Anyways, I'm here to lurk and read, maybe one of these days I'll take on a task of turbo'ing the Miata. There was a MS with cables and other extras on CL for $260 last week, but I let it go..

Thank you. I've gone to a few meets and have seen a number of FI Miatas there, but have yet to ride in one. I have my Subaru TD04 takeoff in the garage, it has a funky flange thought.

Yeah, they are awesome. I went to FLI for tuning and I go to LIC for maintenance I don't want to deal with, but I did all the suspension and power mods myself.
