My name's Brian, an unfortunate born-and-raised Memphian who just got his hands on a 91 NA with a pretty slick paint job (lulz.)

I have been a gearhead since I was very young (grandfather owns an auto parts store, uncle was a drag racer,) but I've never had the budget to do anything of my own until recently.

Right now I am going for a 180-200 starter by the end of the summer; still waiting on a final say on BEGi's Shanghai kits. Had a friend with an RX7 burned by a chinacharger (turbo gasket **** out, engine seized) However I haven't ruled out FM's intro kit even though the price is a bit high and I'd prefer an MSPNP because I am a baller.

I'll be browsing the forums regularly, learning where I need to and helping out where I can. Thanks all.

Really I sold my digital SLR to buy an engagemt ring. So fiancée, not girlfriend.

Addendum: probably buying the mspnp first, tuning n/a, and rolling from there as cashflow from poker permits.

That's an awesome plan... lotsa guys do it that way. Be on the lookout for some bigger injectors while you're at it. You can usually score 460's or 550's for under $100 for a set. Register at a few of the RX7 forums and look there too.

 

fo shizzle. I bought a set of 550's and 460's from rx7club.com. Put out a WTB thread and had several hits in a matter of hours.

As for the car, it's mariner blue with wide dual white racing stripes. I believe the rims on it are from the 93 LE, but I'm not 100%.

I've got a set of Koni coilovers, RB sway bars, full custom 2.5" exhaust, custom header, and some other stuff not worth mentioning.

The injectors will collect dust until I'm comfortable with the mspnp.

You're from VA - who were they here watching?

Also, anyone know of Memphis locals? There's a club here but most of them drive nearly stock cars.
