Default Miata from Chicago!

Whatsup! My name is Jake, and I have fell in love with Miatas. I use this baby to get sideways. I have been looking around these forums for a bit and have came to the conclusion to turbo my Miata. I am new to turboing Miatas, and will doing doing quite a bit of research. My Miata is daily driven, but I had just gotten some rod knock! so I decided, why not rebuild it and turbo it! Here are some pics!

I like how you blur out your license plate in some pictures, but not in others.

If you like getting sideways then sell the miata and buy a 240. If you want to stick with the miata then do not ever again mention going sideways on this site.

Honestly you would be much better off at club roadster.

Woah! I don't drift competitively I just slide once and a while. At the first drift meet I attended there was a Miata, and that is what made me want one instead of a 240. I wanted to be unlike any of my friends. It is what I like. Yeah I got lazy with the blurring, is it that big of a deal?
Thanks for making me feel welcomed!

Yah... I bet none of your parking lot friends are slammed useless... way to be unique.

Yes... I'm being a dick... tired of slammed to **** cars (especially ones in my area).

Welcome Jake. Lots of great boost info here but not a lot of fans of slam and slide. That's what JDMChicago is, you'll just get flamed here as here we just wanna go fast.

Where in Chicago are you? A couple of us will be finally doing some budget turbo builds up in the North Burbs. We don't like to slide though. I like track and autox, and the other two just want a little power to keep up with the Kias while tooling around town.

Thanks for welcoming me. The reason I joined this is because I WANT to go fast.
I am near midway airport. All I did was post my greetings, I didn't expect to have haters off of my first post. I didn't want people to like how low my car is I just put the pics up to show my car. Yes I drive down side streets. Yes I drive downtown. I know my streets very well.
How is my car slammed useless?

Because it has basically 0 suspension travel? And is probably riding on bumpstops? This is ignoring the wheel/tire choice and the lack of an alignment that uses more than 25% of the tire tread.

Also, your use of the word "haters" makes me think you would fit in better at clubroadster.

Honest advice? Don't waste your time turboing your car. Put it at a proper ride height and invest in a real suspension/tires. Go learn to drive the car as is because more power will just mask your poor driving.

I have Stance Gr+..I think that is a "real suspension." The tires have about 75% tread......I also have a freshly new alignment.
Like I said before, I came here for Turbo advice..if I wanted to make friends I wouldn't have even joined. I am a member at Club Roadster, and they referred me to ask around here. I don't want your thoughts about my car. Why do you even care about MY car?

Don't feed the trolls man.

I moved about a year ago from the South Loop to Gurnee aka way up North.

What are your FI ideas so far? Turbo, EMS, IC, Exhaust, etc?

Don't be mistaken, I don't care about your car. I just think you're wasting your time if you want to go fast and have a car setup like that.

Search around because pretty much everything you need to know about putting a turbo on your car is here somewhere. Good luck.

Poor car :(

Adjust your suspension properly then try again.

Hows that 20 degrees of negative camber working out for your tires?

if you want I can take a picture of the tires and show that there isn't massive camber wear.. It is stock camber. I have stock control arms and no camber kit.
Obviously when I turbo my car I will not be this low. This was just for the summer to see how it is. It was fun and it got attention, but now I want speed. I am going to raise it and put it on some 15's. You will all see in the future.

You're an idiot.. and I hate you.

Use of haters, gay steelies, claiming Stance GR+ is "real" suspension, self entitled douche.

Bend over, I'm going in dry.

I'd highly suggest shutting the **** up, and reading. That or stick to CR, you'll find adequate information there for any base tlurblow build. Not to mention I'm not longer there to make your life a miserable living hell.

If you want a less drama filled experience, come back when your car isn't excrementing gayness at the standard peter north ejaculatory rate.
