Default Miata nut in Spokane

Hi guys, my name's Bryan and I'm totally hooked on Miatas. Bought my first one in 2002 and now we have 4.

The first one is a '90 which I autocross in CSP, but it will be getting a boosted 1.8 before too long. My next one was a '92 which I built into a Club Spec Miata for road racing. Then my wife (girlfriend at the time) bought a '96 which she autocrossed in ES and then STS2 after suspension upgrades. That one was totalled when someone made a blind turn right in front of me in an intersection leaving me 20' to stop (not enough). Now that '96 is resurrected as a ChumpCar for $500 24-hour endurance racing (like 24 Hours of LeMons) since I bought it from the insurance company for $157. My wife then took the insurance money and bought a prepped '90 CSP Miata. The 2-post lift lets us get all 4 Miatas and our '06 Impreza wagon in the garage so I'm happy, but I still have this sick desire for more

I just installed a Flyin' Miata Voodoo II turbo, 3" exhaust, etc. on my friend's '99 Miata and I'm in the process of tuning it now. The rush and inhaling sound is so exhilarating, I just have to laugh. I now understand how addicting boost is!

I've been learning all I can as fast as I can about forced induction and tuning for the past 6 months or so.

I majored in Physics for 4 years in the late '90s as a teenager and now I'm back for the university's new Mechanical Engineering program. I love learning.

If any of you are in the area (eastern Washington), let me know; I'd love to meet some other Miata nuts.

You do know that you can not say something like this and not post pictures, right?

Ah, good idea . . .

The striped one belongs to a friend.

My wife doesn't think I need a 4-post lift on the other side.
