Thanks. I've never really modified a car, so I'm a big noob at this.

I am going to drop some knowledge on you then.

1. Buy a MS and a wideband. Learn to tune the car while it is stock. Spend 6+ months doing this.
2. Buy Flowforce injectors from Trackspeed Engineering. Install them and retune fuel.
3. Install a stronger clutch. FM or ACT are the only brands you should spend money on.
4. Install turbo setup. Retune your fuel table for boost.
5. Pick up guys.

As a noob to modifying, is the PnP MS or the DIY MS easier?
Or could you point me to the general direction to find the information.

Do you know how to solder?

I honestly would say to buy a MS3X from braineack in the classifieds. There might even be a MS3X for sale still from dwink that would work.

I know how to solder, but I haven't done it in a year and a half.
Thanks for the info!

Are you an EE in college? If not buy a prebuilt MS and skip trying to diy. You will thank me later for that.

I'm going to school to be a technician and we learned how to solder probably a month into my 1st year. I haven't had the need to solder much since.

Can you read a schematic and have you soldered on a circuit board before? If not, find a board in the trash and de-solder everything from it, then put it back on. You will be fine after doing that

Thanks. I'll look around for an old circuit board and try it out. I can read a wiring schematic pretty well.

I would just buy one from Braineak or MS Labs.

psyber_0ptix 02-18-2016 09:42 AM

Just buy one, you'll be spending more time fixing other things on your car, like camber and tail lights.

Keep the car running and spruce things up as they fail. Go nuts once you finish school and have income and can afford having another car during the downtime.

"BUILD"

Has wheels, stickers and calls it a "build"
