Default My first post. yay.

ive been checking this website out abit since i plan on turbocharging my 97.
my names robert i live in the dallas area. saw some some japanese cars drifting acouple years back and it was over for me i was hooked so im trying to build up my car now. im working on a web page now, so far ive been budget building. so i will have tutorials coming as soon as i can since ive put in Megan racing coilovers and there doing good. and a project godspeed radiator just installed. getting all the ground work out of the way before i put a turbo in.

so just dropping in to say hi and will have pics and reviews as well as tutorials up hopefully soon. hope to be a great help to anyone so just message me if you have any questions.

Welcome NOOB!
Yup, this forum hates fads. We hate wings and neon and spinners and driftzzing. Take it with a grain of salt, it's all good fun... but seriously, we hate you.

Now, be a good NOOB and put your location in your profile and add something useful about your car in your signature like good NOOB's should do every time they join a new forum.

Holla hellaz loud!

Howdy, fellow noob here.

I'm not into drifting myself, but from what I understand it's a lot easier to drift cars with longer wheel bases, and I can attest to the fact that the short wheel base of earlier miatas can make things a little touchy at times. So just out of curiosity, are you using your 97 because it's what you have or what? Seems like it might not be a great platform for the sport.

typical procedure is

dr|ft a miata for a while
trade miata for 240
not come to mt.net anymore

Basically...or drift miata for a while and become a man and start doing track days/racing.

Welcome newb.

I'll go ahead and tell you the secret: the trick to making these things awesome drifting machines is to take of the rear sway bar, completely, now.
