Default My greeting

Good Afternoon everyone!
My name is Vince. My username is Nassex. I'm registering to the forum today. Currently I drive a 2002 em2 Civic Coupe 1.7L automatic.
Now days, I want more over-steer and perhaps to go to some drift or track day events when I have some days off from school starting in spring. I plan on hopefully buying my first RWD+manual+Sports car within around 3 weeks or less!!
And I'm about 99.9% sticking towards a Miata at this point. The past several months saving up, I've had a 1990, pref. 94-97 Mazda MX5 Miata set in my heart as my number one goal. And I'm coming close to be able to begin looking for one now.

Wish me luck, and nice to meet everyone.

Welcome to The Forum. Many of us do track days regularly and work on our own cars. But you will find that the Miata is poorly suited for drifting because of its low polar moment of inertia. Most rear wheel drive cars are far better at drifting than the Miata. The Miata will require much more effort to maintain a drift angle because the physics involved and the weight distribution of the car. It is what makes the Miata really great for road courses and racing.

Welcome.
