Hey Greenteee,
I'm running a Mishimoto 55mm radiator. I think when I get this sorted out I'm going to post a thread purely on ducting.

All Tune and Lube Total Car Care in the beautiful and riot free city of Tempe.

I think I have a plan. It looks as though I was trying to turn a relatively simple task in to rocket science.

We sold it. Dad was having "health" issues and passed just a few months after selling. At 23, I wasnt prepared to take it over, let a lone clean up my dads mess. He was a great honest person, but he was not a business man. He let customers take advantage of him, never said no, wouldnt charge enough, people walked all over him, robbed peter to pay paul. I could get really in depth here, no need.

Even if not for all that, I hate working on other people cars, and their unrealistic, ignorant expectations. Even when you try to explain how things work and why it is the way it is, everyone just thinks you are trying to **** them, no thanks to all the shops that actually perform that practice. Its too much BS for how much $$ it makes.

Im in the area often, ill come by one of these days im sure.

Maybe it's because I came from a sales and business background or maybe 'cause I'm older but I really enjoy the vast majority of my customers. No matter what you do there will always be the PITA folks but they seem rare here. I'll sure go along with you that it's a tough business to make any money in. But what the heck, the lights are on, the bills are paid and I have some great guys working for me. I'll look forward to meeting you face to face.

No doubt a lot(all?) of the BS my dad brought onto himself. When you let crack heads **** you over, other crack heads find out about the place you can get your car fixed at for free. I have no doubt, if I (or someone capable)took the place over today, at 28, with what I know now, I wouldnt have half the problems once I fixed everything and got rid of the crappy portion of the customer base.

If the present means anything: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Herle...94500043961668

part of the deal was they cant ever change the name

Having said that im just being negative. We had a lot of good customers too, and a few fleet accounts.

Maybe when I get the miata going again and tuned here in the next month or 3, ill bring it by. I work just a few miles north of your shop.

Seal the bumper mouth to the radiator with no way around it and it will solve the problem. Completely seal it.

And don't plug up the bumper mouth with the intercooler. Leave plenty of room for the air to get around the intercooler to the radiator.

Hey Sixshooter, thanks.
I yanked the radiator and sealed the space between it and the fans. I was just staring at the mouth of the car trying to think of an effective/efficient/simple way of sealing it up. Now, you guys know what you mean when you talk about ducting the cooling assembly and sealing the mouth, I have only a vague idea. You also know that there are a LOAD of build threads on this site. Could you point me toward one thread that has what you think is the most elegant solution?
