Well... I found this site last year... Never really used it. Kids take up my time and money these days... Don't even have time to show my car any more. Not trying to "use" anybody. I just want my car to go to a good home. If this is the right place, cool. If not... so be it.

I've been working on this car for 11 years. Given many different people advice along the way and took advice. I don't want to get hooked on the idea of keeping my car. I need to let it go. It is time.

im with that guy. i for one, being [soon] in the marketplace for a turbo miata, want to see all the ads i can before i go buying something dumb.

If we were to not have the 10 post minimum, 99% of ads would be spam or from commercial interest, as it used to be. Hence the rule. And although the original poster of this thread may have contributed much to the miata community, we simply cannot bend the rules for special cases, it would get out of hand. Instead we just let members let their inner asshole out when someone breaks the rules. It's their choice follow the rules or get made fun of, could be worse.

But please, continue to knock on our systems and rules, see where that gets you.

Paint is subjective, as I think it looks better then the boring all white paint it was. Lack of filter- If I were in the market for a car and was interested in your car before that picture, it would have been enough for me to walk away laughing.

As far as "have you ever dragged race"- I don't know you, but its safe to say I've spent more time at the drag strip and around drag cars then you ever will. The screens are fine for engines that will be pulled apart after 2-3 runs if they even make that many before venting the block. For bracket racers or guys who run anything short of funny cars or pro mod, you'll see a filter on their car, and most will make more power then 3-4 of our turbo engines combined. A 450rwhp LS1 needs a filter just a little bigger then the size of your fist IIRC.

I have definitely never been to a drag strip where the track was made out of cardboard.

The air restriction that the chicken wire puts on the intake is probably far greater than a normal filter simply because of the airflow properties of the wire, combine that with the fact that the ability to filter fine particles out of the air is significantly reduced, and you have a win/win fail/fail situation!

My car is built right. The fabrication is sick. most of the custom stuff is one-offs like the cro mo roll bar with race bar attachment, Full diff kit, the RX7 up-rights re-machined for 4x100, the lightened Drive-shaft made just for my application, the turbo manifold and the full exhaust.

I mean who gives a shit if the car runs low 12s on street tires if the paint is gay? right? Fucking assholes.:facepalm:

We already have to deal with the fact that we drive Miatas. A gay paint scheme is insult to injury. Check out the rides on this site and you'll know - WE GIVE A FUCK WHAT OUR CARS LOOK LIKE. Whoever buys this car is going to have to sand that shit off, reprimer, and repaint the car. That paint scheme has devauled the car by $7k to $10k.
