Default New Boosty Boi

So I just bought my 2nd Miata, a 2004 Mazdaspeed with all of the FM parts and a Hydra 2.6 (gross). Tein coilovers, rollbar, frame rails, butterfly brace, delrin door bushings, a terrible loud clunky 2-way Tomei diff, and a 5 speed of unknown origin in place of the 6 speed. 5 speed gearing is amazing on stock boost; 6 speed is WAY too short from what I have seen on youtube.

I wasn't planning on buying another Miata but it was too good a deal to pass up. The seller wanted to get rid of it because the car was trying to explode the battery with 19v of un-voltage-regulated goodness. I immediately installed an NA alternator and replaced most of the lightbulbs and an assortment of burnt fuses. Now I need a working wideband and a boost controller so I can attempt to tune the car on 9-10 psi.

Replace that radiator ASAP, looks like it could shatter at any time.

Velocity Red looks so good in the flesh when the sun's shining but photos do it no justice at all, it just looks flat red.

Can you please post some close-ups of the DIY door trims, they look quite tidy and roomy compared to the OEM doorcards.

That radiator's life span should be measured in minutes, not hours or days.

If you need a wideband PM me.

Yeah it looks almost the same color as my classic red NA in pics. IRL it's a completely different color

From what I've seen it's best to go OEM or FM Crossflow, correct?

I like them. Whoever made these did a good job; the material is suede-like. I thought the lexan speaker mount was clever as well.

CSF on the way. FYI, it looks like the CSF is available on amazon for a few bucks less; search CSF 2863

Those are definitely LRB door cards. I had the same ones in my 2001.

Good to know about the door cards, I need those LRBs to get rid of the bolster in my 97.

Much better. CSF 2863 off amazon fits like a charm. Supermiata is great but free shipping is nice. Also, wideband/boost gauge/ boost controller going in tomorrow. Innovate SCG-1

Update since I'm too nooby and lazy to make a real build thread:

Coilovers installed; non FM Vmaxx with custom springs. Fun fact: Vmaxx shocks are threaded M10x1.0, not M10x1.25 like literally every other miata shock on the planet. As these are NA shocks I had to get creative to get them to work with NB tophats; I used the 5x Racing adapter kit but had to make some custom extendo-dicko nuts that were the correct thread size.

Had to re-work the throttle body inlet because the OEM rubber elbow decided to crack; Intercooler Pipe Fabrication makes some neat stuff. Still had to go to Lowes for random plumbing supplies.
(INSERT PIC WHEN I TAKE ONE)

Also, straight pipe, because mufflers on turbo cars are stupid; with resonator because driving your car with a headache is also stupid
