Default New to the forum.

Hello all, my name is Sam and i am from louisville, ky. i just purchased my first miata, so im new to the miata world but not to the tuner scene. its a 1991 1.6 with 137k miles on it. it needs some work but i picked it up for cheap. anyways here are some pics of it. these were taken with my camera phone, i do not own a digital camera so please forgive the horrid picture quality.

the rear finish panel was damaged and needs to be fixed, other than that the body is pretty straight. it needs a new center console due to cracking. but its a project. im not sure what ill do with it as of yet, but right now my priority is fixing what is wrong with it

yes it does. the pics make it look worse that it is really. in those pics it had been sitting for about 6 months at its previous owners house. it had a bad maf and ecu. when i replaced those it started right up. so i went ahead changed the oil and drove it home. like i said it does have some problems, but i plan on fixing it before i do any modifications.

yeah, the car had daisies on it at one point, but were sold before i purchased the car. new wheels are on the list, because the mismatched steelies suck. i know someone with some hollow spokes. im going to try to pick them up and put new tires on them, then have the car aligned.

Welcome. Looks like you got yourself a nice little project. I'm assuming you plan on turboing it? What are your goals?

Welcome.

I'm not sure what's rougher in the second shot: the busted taillight, or hungover guy with energy drink.

+1 on goals...

you think they would have at least put the matching pairs of steelies on the same side of the car. Swap the fronts, and now it looks at least somewhat respectable....for steelies

i do plan on turboing it. not to sure on the goal of it yet. i know i want it to handle better, look better, and have 200+whp. it will be mostly street driven, but will see some track time. it is not my daily, but will pull daily duty for a little bit while my other car is being worked on.

the "hungover" guy with the energy drink is a buddy of mine actually. he works nights, but i made him get up early to drive my other car back home.

as for magnaman mx5, i know of him already, he is a member of one of the local forums i am on.
