Welcome to the forum. Pics didn't work but I'm happy to have you here. There's a bunch of us track rats here on the forum.

Forget the engine swap. Swap to a BMW transmission and make 300 hp on the engine you have with forged internals and a turbo.

Really? I hosted them on google photos. Maybe I need to change permissions...

That's a negative, ghost rider. See rules 1 through 3 in the OP.

EDIT:
I changed permissions on google photos. Then logged out of here and viewed this thread as an outsider. Photos are visible. Good on your end as well?

FWIW, I don't see any conflict between his recommendation and your rules. A turbo car is easy to drive on the street, mine actually gets better fuel mileage and is no harder to drive on the street than it was prior to the install. They're a hell of a lot cheaper than motor swap you're talking about, too. Either way, have fun and welcome to the forum.

To each his own. You've done your setup very differently than I'd ever choose to spec a turbo setup on my own car and that's fine. That makes the cost statement very different for each of us. I'm 99.9% sure that engine swap will never happen because I really like the car as it is for what it is, but car guy has to have something to pin up on his wall, right? . Besides, any of those things would drastically change my classing and that's not in my plan right now. When that time comes, I'd rather buy another car that's better for the purpose and enjoy the roadster on our windy mountain roads.
