Some may have seen me on facebook with my LS car but I have been pretty much starting over on a 2JZ miata I picked up late last year too. Last week I picked up a 10AE miata that needed love too. I hail from Louisiana and apparently I like miatas.

Not sure what questions people may have about my abominations but I am sure the usual how much did that cost, how does it handle with all that weight, and why would you ruin your car like that will be the first to be asked. The 2JZ and LS car are getting custom built tubular subframes built that will be for sale soon. The goal is to have 1 subframe with interchanable mounts for swaps like 2jz, ls, and K/miata. LS and 2jz will use stock pans and clear stock trimmed hoods. It is still a ways from done so this isn't an AD just a heads up what we are working on. I am also working with G-Force to build a new offering for 8.8 axles and miata hubs rated for 1200 HP.

As acedeuce said, good to see more people with swaps here, looking forward to your progress on both cars. The build thread from the original 2jz owner is on here somewhere, probably have to dig through the build threads a bit.

Yea I bought it from here but it didn't last long. New swap kit made from scratch to clear the hood, full exhaust, a new cooling system, and a full cold side.

Ill get some more pictures of both but I have a bunch so it would be easier to just ask for ones in particular.

 

Guy doing my fab is making it fit pretty good. Just waiting on him to make the final Jig so he can start making them. I hope to have the 2JZ car ready next month to get tuned and the LS car ready by may to get tuned.

LS with a Maggie, that thing is going to make some torque.
Definitely get vid's once it's tuned. I bet that thing puts you back in your seat in 4th at 1500rpm lol

it's getting a large front mount turbo currently

The walk around clip sounds like the drum intro to hot for teacher.

 

What was the ET to accompany that trap? Do you have any slips?

 

This was the first time out on the radials so I didn't cut a very good 60ft but I trapped 137 or 136MPH here on a 3.08 gear and only 8-9 psi. I moved to 3.55 and 16 PSI later to get over 140mph
