I would first of all like to say hello. I'm 23 years old and live in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico). I have a 94 1.8 STD Miata with 64,000 miles on it. My father bought it from a neighbor who was leaving for the states in its current conditions. I was a 300zx turbo on it, 38mm turbonetics wastegate, 3in downpipe, built bottom end, 5th injector setup, and a HKS BOV. In the first week my brother was driving it like crazy and broke it (ran too lean). From that moment my dad asked me if I want it and so I took it. Now I'm interested in rebuilding it and doing it right. So here I am.\

Here are a few pics of it.

Makes my head hurt to look at. Too many extra parts in there, lines every which way.

Looks like a fun project. Bet it comes out better on the other side.

I'm especially fond of the BOV placement.

Needs more this, though:

Well, there's nothing wrong with it.

I do, however, love the shiny and expensive cam gears in contrast to **** everything else

Welcome to the forum. We're here to help.

And to laugh a little and point at your car.

But then we will probably help you.

Yeah we're not laughing at you, we're laughing at your neighbor.

And maybe a little at your brother for breaking it.

What's broken?

Broke the copression rings from pistons 1,3 and 4. Im goin to buy a new piston set and install the with the manley rods which I all ready have and change the complete turbo setup. Do you guys think a TDO5 will do fine with the 1.8 engine since I all ready have it?
