Hey folks, my name is Ben, I bought a 91 Miata this June. It's been a champ and I'm 18 so yes it does take quite a lot of abuse. I know what everyone is going to say but after I graduate I plan to do a Nitrous system until I inevitably grenade my engine or get bored and want a turbo. Money is not rolling in during the school year like it does when I'm working in the summer so I'm kinda stuck right now. This forum is a great database of people's knowledge and experience and I'm pretty fired up to be a part of it.

I've had these headlights since September and I just hooked up the DRL Rings and the blinkers last night. I'm super stoked they look great!

Little cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway this summer. Unfortunately, my two friends have sold their Miatas and moved to North Dakota.

Welcome to the forum. I only know one guy who used nitrous on his Miata. The ignition timing will be the biggest challenge unless you get a megasquirt.

I would skip the bomb, and aim for turbo.

Y'all are right I probably should go turbo first, just the initial cost of everything scares me. I know you can get them cheap but I dunno from the little bit of reading I've done it sounds like you can run a 50 shot with not much issue with a slightly stronger clutch and a few other things. I don't have very much experience though so I'm not sure.

How are you going to retard the timing when you add nitrous? You need a megasquirt for that. And you need a wideband to tell if you are fueling it correctly (rich/lean).

50 shot is pretty sad anyway. Add a turbo and get 120 more on a stock engine. Still need a megasquirt.

Look at MK Turbo.

i agree. a 50 shot (if done correctly) would net you about the same as a very very mild 99-05 1.8.
