You don't need or want a cage for AutoX. Most don't run roll bars either.

He means "for AutoX". Not trying to be an *** and correct you but I didn't want him getting the wrong idea.

The BEST place to start is by reading the rule book.
http://www.scca.com/documents/2011%2...lo%20Rules.pdf

Next step should be attending events and talking to the faster drivers.
http://www.trscca.org/soloschedule.html

Then I would say to spend as much time driving your car and getting ride alongs with drivers that are better / more skilled.

And LASTLY you should start modding your car so it will fit within the limit of the rules for your class.

Your Turbo will place you in SSM. The rules are pretty open in many ares of SSM but are rather restrictive with other things. Just make sure you don't make a simple mod that will move you to a class you have no chance of winning.

And seat time is ultimately the most important. You gotta apply what you learn from other guys so do as manny fun-run's as you can (I assume they do fun-run's everywhere; where you pay a dollar per run after everyone has done all their timed runs). They usually still time them so you can still work on getting quick.
