Hello everyone,
I've obtained my midlife crisis car which is this 04 NB. I found one local with 35k and a hard top that looked to be in really great shape so I snapped it up. So far I put ~400 miles getting to know it and doing some basic maintenance. I've got a 3.63 gear and a set of techna sports to add as soon as life slows a bit. I'm here to benefit from the knowledge and hopefully find some local autox that I can attend with my 8 year old and rekindle a hobby of mine.
Thanks,

Hey, welcome to the group! That car looks incredibly clean, what ECU is it running? It looks like a high quality build from what I can see.

Thanks, it's just bolt ons that I thought were good quality. I think it is a stock computer, haven't looked really.

That is a pretty nice mid life crisis, low kms and all! Welcome!!

Does the bonnet open? Have you got a camera/phone with camera? Around here we are in 'pictures or it didn't happen' mode most of the time, soo ... I'd be interested in some photos of the engine bay

That red tow hook could indicate a poseur, or it could indicate it is something of a track rat - the PO say anything about that? Have you any thoughts about track-oriented modz? Or tracking that car as-is?

Anyway, have a cat for such a good buy, though the state of your garage shames me over mine, it almost was a neg-cat

I know the car did some local hpde events where the po was unimpressed coming from a c5 Corvette, but it really looks too clean to have seen many track days. Just little enchilada and some fm springs & some beat rush accessories.

I'm surprised any organization let that on the track with no rollbar. That's highly unusual.

Welcome to the forum.

It had a older styler bar that was removed because it interfered with the factory belts. I'd like to pick up a new one
at some point.

Welcome to the forum.
My local track has a wheel to wheel racing group that doesn't even require a bar, but you can only pass on the straights if you don't have a bar. Not saying that's good, but they definitely exist lol.
