Default Newb from Australia

Hi everyone

I just picked up a 99 MX-5. Needs a lot of tidy up work but hopefully won't take long to get it cleaned up and reliable, ready for some forced induction.

This will be a weekend street driven car that will also so some club level events. I'm slow at the wheel, so serious competition is never going to happen but hopefully I can turn this thing into a fun beast anyway.

Thanks for having me - looking forwards to learning lots!!

Welcome!

There's a handful of Australians scattered about the forum, but I don't know if many are from S.A. I'm up in Brisbane. You should add your location to your profile, it's generally good information for people to have.

There is a ton of information in this forum, any question you have run it passed Google first, and read, read, read. Let the information digest, then read it all again. Seriously some ideas have taken me multiple reads and thought experiments to grasp. When you post questions give full information and make sure you include the results of your research and why you aren't sure what to do with what you've learned. Do all of that and this forum is welcoming, helpful and extremely informative, ignore that advise and you'll feel the MT wrath (which includes ridicule, neg-cats, and ultimately a ban).

Please post pictures of your car, and if you have any actual cats posting pics of them is sure to get you a pos-cat or two.
