Talking noob From Chile

HI my name is Rodrigo. I have 1997 with custom turbo setup.

Now i'm trying to replace the AFC, O2clamp and FPR with a mega squirt.

I'm running 0.5 bar with 460cc injectors with some problems at idle. At 0.7 bar AFR tends to 14, so I decided to discard my ECU, but buy a new one cost about the same to build a MS, so here I´am.

Rodrigo Bienvenido! I left you a post the other day following one from you in Spanish asking you if you were Alex' friend. If that is the case tell him Rafa says thanks y que le mando un saludo afectuoso.

BTW, careful with your coils when you install the MS.

Welcome to this forum. Enjoy your stay.

I'm friend of alex. in fact he is the guy who "brain-wash-me" And I have to buy a miata and install a turbo on it (after a few rides in his car)!!. I will tell him your greetings.!

The people who want to ban me, have to pay for see the picture.!

Please, what is the better place to install the AIT sensor considering my setup?. thanks.!!
(the picture is prety old, now I changed the "duct tape" rubber and clean a little the bay).

Welcome. Alex may have brainwashed you but if I'm not mistaken you had already been bitten by the turbo bug. What was your previous car?

I'll let others more knowledgeable on the subject give you suggestions on the IAT sensor. FWIW, mine is in the IC pipe relatively close to the throttle body.

Saludos,

Rafa

rafa, my ex car was a mazda 3 (1.6), excelent car, confortable and good design, brake and turn very well, but don't have much power.
so I have to chage it. hehehe.
I buy a renault for daily car and a miata for proyect car.

thebeerbaron, I live in santiago. and yes no much miata at all, buy we have some (http://www.miata.cl). I know 2 guys with miata turbos that runs very well !! I'm the third miata turbo from the club.

samnavy, excelent advice. tanx !

Welcome to the forum. You'll enjoy it; these guys know about Miata Turbos. I assume you've already read about the MS. If you have any questions or need assistance with that option ask Chad (cjernigan) or Scott (Braineack) they both know how to build excellent ones!

I don't know **** about anything turbo related so I can't offer you any assistance in that regard but if you need anything you can also pm me.

Also, tell Alex to get in here once in a while. He also knows his stuff when it comes to building a cheap turbo kit for a Miata! I had the pleasure of picking his brains sometime ago and he's most responsible for me going the turbo route.

Saludos,

Rafa

well,I have a fitting welded on this position, but now I can´t close my hood..
Have to find other fitting and drill again. At last, I can try to start with my MS and tuning idle for the moment.
