Hey guys and gals. I have been lurking these forums for a bit and have learned quite a bit here. I just signed up and am here to introduce myself.

I do not own a Miata just yet but plan to very soon. I drive a Subaru WRX right now.

Ill be seeing you around and hope I can contribute to this amazing forum.

Welcome.

There's quite a few Suby converts here.

Most of them like their turbo Miata better.

Im to the point I want a more simple car. Something smaller and more nimble. Living in Colorado makes a Miata impossible for a daily though. Ill need something for the winter time. Maybe a "simple" Scooby 2.5RS.

This is pretty much the same reason I wanted a Miata. I had all kinds of muscle ('71 Nova, '71 LeMans, '88 Trans AM GTA with built 355, many more). My GTA was fast, but I started to realize that it could easily be beaten with a smaller, lighter car, like a Miata. The miata also made more sense to be to be a driver. It seats 2, and going to and from work, I'm the only one in the car, so why should I have 3 extra seats? It gets more than 10mpg more than my GTA did, and it handles like it's on rails.
I think a Miata is a good choice for you, they are cheap and easy to build. As you can see, with this forum there is a lot of support. In fact, Flyin Miata is in Colorado! Flyin' Miata 1 800 FLY MX5s
Good luck and welcome!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I live in BFE Colorado so the Miata would see alot of garage time. It just snowed another 6 inches here yesterday and the roads to my house didnt get plowed until today so as much as I would love for it to be my only car, thats not possible where I live.

I might buy another Jeep for a winter rig.

Colorado guys, where is a good place to find a decent priced Miata project? Iv checked the bay and autotrader. Have yet to try CL though.
