Default NOOB from Gurnee, IL.

Hello fellow Miata enthusiasts!

My name is Aaron, and I am preparing to join the community of the turbo miata. I have had my White '95 since the summer of 07, and am preparing to make the leap to forced induction.

Currently I am active duty Navy with 12 years in, but will be separating from the service soon. Good ol' Uncle Sam is kind enough to be giving me a separation check in the amount of about $47,000, and I have already planned on setting about 6-7K of it towards my beloved Miata. The plan is to order a Begi-S1 kit to begin with, and slowly upgrade little at a time as I learn more about how it all works.

The car is in great shape mechanically, at great expense over the years. I'm pretty sure I have replaced almost every component of the car with the exception of the engine block. Not a lot of performance upgrades at the moment, did the exhintake cam swap for the little bit of low end grunt it gives, but I am hanging onto the other cam as I will be putting it back in once I get the turbo kit. She has Fidanza adjustable cam gears (strictly for the "ooooh, it shines" factor.) but not much else. When I first bought it, I did the typical NOOB upgrades such as a shiny chrome hot air intake, cheapo-fart cannon exhaust, etc. The downgrades have all been removed and all factory components have been put back in thier rightful place. I ordered a DIYPNP just last night, and will be ordering a wideband next week. Baby steps, baby steps.

I'll try to keep my noobness to a minimum, and I promise not to ask any questions with out doing my research (I'm one of the search ****'s over at M.net.) so you may not hear from me for a while.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome. Clean car and you have a great plan. Great 1st post. You will do well here with an attitude like that. Definitely get to know the ms and have it up and running before you do any force induction mods. Other than that, you will almost immediately want to upgrade to bigger boost cause its like a drug. With a budget of 6-7k you could put together a very well sorted setup and smile every time you drive the car at positive pressure
