Default Noob from South Dakota

Thought I'd say hi. I purchased a project 1999 miata this summer and now it is time to get to work on it. I will be swapping an engine (current one has a rod hanging out of the pan) and doing minor upgrades as well.

Swap the head over first, not after. 97 head into a 99 is a tragedy. I must ask, what's the screen name about?

Pics of cats please.

Actually the screen name is from the names of my dogs, Sherman and Tank (dumb military reference) As for the head swap I don't have a ton of time to tear it down and check the cam journals for scoring so I figured I'd just used the 1997 engine. I suppose it would not take to much time to pull the cams out and look.

You're right it is a dumb military reference, at least name them after the Firefly if you don't subscribe to German armor superiority. Also I'm pretty gay so I don't really do the 1.8 thing, but sean is right regarding the 99 head being better so use it at all costs.

I dunno, yelling "Panzerkampfwagen Achtunddreißig T" seems kind of cumbersome.

On the other hand, I should name my next cat: "Hellcat" after the M18

Get that Czech crap outta here, riveted hulls are for boats! Even if they are the LS1 of German tank design. Also any cat may be called Hellcat without the need to reference a tank, what with being dicks and all.

Yes, from Bigfoot. But you gotta run around in the woods to find them.
