Howdy.... figured I'd stop in. Kinda new to the Miata experience, longtime Honda/Acura owner and racer (SCCA ITA and ITB, NASA Honda Challenge Series). Wound up with a Na Miata last fall after buying it for our daughter but ended up getting her an Altima before she went off to college (and I wasn't sure she would ever get the hang of driving a manual gearbox). Honestly I can say I didn't always hold a favorable view of Miatas after being in the same run group with SM for so many years and some of the rough driving in that class . Got pushed off the track and run into a few times by Me-otters, but hey, that comes with the sport.
Now that I've spent 10 months with "my" '97 Na, I see why the car is so dang popular in road racing. I was into Triumphs back in the 80's and 90's, owned a few Spitfires and a GT6 Mk III. I can honestly say Mazda made the perfect "British" sports car, better than the Brits ever did I think. This is absolutely the most fun car I've ever street driven.
Looking forward to years of fun and upgrades, and maybe even getting back out on the track after my 15 year hiatus for some lapping days.
I'll try not to ask too many dumb questions!

Floyd, it's great to have you here. What part of the world are you in?
We are all aware of how awful many Spec Pinata drivers are to each other and want you to know none of us drive in that series.
What are your plans for the car? Street weekender? Occasional trackdays?

Ha! No worries, I don't have a problem with SM, it was actually fun battling them in my little CRX!
I'm in SC, right outside of Myrtle Beach.
Right now she's just a part-time daily and weekend fun car. I'd actually like to maybe get to a track day sometime, I'm just 2 hours from Carolina Motorsports Park and 4 hours from Roebling Road, heck maybe even knock over some cones (I started my motorsports addiction in the late '90's in Solo II and Corvette Club autocross in a C4 vette and moved to road racing from there in 2002). Right now she's getting a new clutch and exhaust, and near future plans include a MK Turbo kit... as $$$ allows.

There's a few others cross-pollinating both sites as well.
92celicahalftrac is here as concealer404 and there are others who might chime in.
I don't really feel like I fit in well with some of the people on the brown board. I'm not sure exactly what it is.
